#CanChange is a simple idea that every can of SEA Water sold isn’t just a refreshing drink, it’s a step towards bringing about real change. By rethinking how we source and deliver water, we’re tackling the problem from every angle: no plastic, no fossil fuels, no over-reliance on freshwater. Just clean, renewable-powered desalinated water in 100% recyclable cans.

Every time you crack open a can, part of the proceeds goes straight to our impact partners like ReefSystems, working to protect our oceans and ecosystems. Because while we love the water inside, we care even more about the oceans that make it possible. And we’re not just here to sell water, we’re here to change the game. For the billions of people without access to clean water, and for the planet that needs a break from outdated, wasteful systems.

Today, 3 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water. The clock is ticking, and if we keep doing what we’re doing, more than half of the world will be living in water-stressed areas by 2050.

It might sound hard to believe, but while 70% of the world’s surface is covered in water, less than 1% of it is available for human consumption. That’s because almost all of it is seawater while some is locked away in icecaps and glaciers.

That means we’re facing a serious challenge, but there’s a way forward. Renewable-powered desalination offers a sustainable path to turn seawater into fresh, drinkable water, without putting more pressure on the planet.

Fresh Water, Powered by Nature

Desalination has the potential to support hundreds of cities around the world, providing water for billions of people without access. However, using fossil fuels to power desalination would only exacerbate the environmental crisis.

Conventional desalination is most often inefficient, costly and energy-intensive. The old methods rely on fossil fuels, pollute marine ecosystems, and are built for industrial-scale plants – leaving local communities high and dry.

That’s where we come in. We’ve reimagined desalination, using 100% renewable energy, powered by the sun and wind, to turn seawater into clean drinking water. Our systems are 75% more energy-efficient than conventional desalination, and for every 100m³ of water we produce, we save 210 kg CO₂. That’s like planting 42 trees and letting them grow for 10 years.

We’re committed to making renewable desalination the norm, not the exception. Only 1% of the world’s desalinated water comes from renewable sources right now. Let’s change that.

Water, Where It’s Needed

For too long, clean drinking water has been shipped across oceans in single-use plastic bottles and pumped from overexploited freshwater sources. This traditional model isn’t built for the future. It’s wasteful, expensive, and carbon-intensive.

Global bottled water transport alone emits up to 6.3 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, the equivalent of putting an extra 1.3 million gasoline cars on the road every year.
We believe the best way to tackle water scarcity is by bringing the solution to where it’s needed most. That’s why we’re committed to localizing our approach, sourcing water directly from the sea to serve water-stressed communities in a way that’s more sustainable, efficient, and scalable.

By redefining how and where water is sourced, we can eliminate the need for single-use plastic bottles and long-haul transportation which means lower emissions and more sustainable water access.

Humans need 2-3 liters of drinking water daily, meaning that with every 100m3 of SEA Water, we can serve 40,000 people with fresh, mineral-rich drinking water every day!

Eliminating Plastic, One Can at a Time

We’re not just about better water, we’re about better packaging too. Forget plastic bottles that pollute the planet. Our water comes in 100% recyclable aluminum cans. By choosing aluminum, we help reduce the environmental impact of single-use plastics, which often end up in landfills or oceans.

With just 100m³ of SEA Water, we eliminate the need for up to 200,000 single-use plastic bottles, bottles that would otherwise contribute to ocean pollution and waste.

Each can we produce is a step towards reducing plastic pollution and promoting circularity. Unlike plastic, aluminum can be recycled infinitely without losing quality, making it a more sustainable choice in the long run.

It’s all part of our plan to leave the planet in better shape than we found it.
